Hello Family and Friends-

After many recommendations-we decided to start this blog so that you can share with us our journey through our first pregnancy and the birth of our first baby.

We found out we were pregnant, by a stroke of luck, when my mom was visiting, during the weekend of August 12th. At first I didn't believe that "the line was really a line" on the pregnancy test. I had to research online to see if it had to be a dark line, or if a light line also meant I was pregnant. After confirmation from the EPT website, I finally started to believe that we might have done it! We had been trying all summer, and after many negative tests, I started to think it would take forever to get pregnant! But in reality it only took a couple of months!

We had our first doctors appt. on September 1st. Very uneventful-I peed in a cup and had 4 viles of blood taken, and filled out a huge pile of paperwork!! Also made my first appt. with my doctor. September 22nd, I will have a full physical examination, and hopefully be able to hear the baby's heart at least. Ultrasound will be next appt, I think!

As of now I am 7 weeks, don't show at all yet, except maybe bigger boobs (arg!!), and feel great. Oh and the baby is due on Mike's 31st birthday-April 20th!!
