So today is the 8th and STILL no baby! The Non-stress testing went well yesterday...baby had enough fluid, and heartbeat was great--he's definitely happy in there. But unfortunately my blood pressure has gone up, and they wanted to check my liver and kidney function to make sure everything was functioning properly. It was, but they almost kept me there at the hospital yesterday. They definitely said that I should be induced on Monday if he doesn't come earlier. We were thinking about waiting the full 2 weeks, but they really recommended we do it on Monday, so that's the plan. I am really hoping he's born on September 10th and not the 11th. That's the scoop!
Hope all goes well, and that after all this waiting, at least labor goes relatively fast!!

Okay-today is September 4th and still no baby! I know some of you are almost as excited for him to come as we are, but I guess more patience is in order.

So just to keep you in the loop because I haven't really been feeling like talking on the phone much lately. Thanks for the phone calls and well wishes, its just hard to keep talking about it...anyway although we had such high hopes of a natural childbirth with no drugs, its starting to look like I may have to be induced.

I have an appt. on Friday for a non-stress test to check on the baby and make sure he is okay still--some risks (after 40 wks of pregnancy) are that the womb basically starts to die, so the fluid level can go down, which can cause the baby to feel stressed, also there is a larger chance the the umbilical cord can get pinched, and there is a chance that he could poop (meconium) in utero which is not good. So we'll see how that goes... then I also have an appt for inducing labor on the 10th if he doesn't come before that. So that's the scoop. Close your eyes and send me some "birthing vibes"!!!
